Title: CC Issue on STAR 24629
Post by: Zach on December 28, 2011, 01:37:51 PM
Hello STAR Team,

I am not sure what's causing this, but the current conditions seen on the CC screen/LDL temp tab are different that what's on the metro/regional maps. I'll provide screenshots below.

Can this be looked into? Thanks.

We have the same issue in Memphis. Our issue is that the Downtown HiRAD site is used on the CC screen and on the LDL, and the airport's HiRAD site is used on the maps. These two locations are upwards of 8 miles apart.

My suggestion is using the airport site for both reports, and changing Arlington on the 8-City CC report to 'Downtown'.

Trevor, that's because your site is different.. your CC location is Downtown Memphis, and on the map it's Memphis.. both my CC and my metro have Tampa. ;)

Had the same issue with my IS before they switched the main city to Grapevine. The main "Irving" one was reported near Downtown. However, the other "Irving" site seen on the 8-cities list and the metro map was reported from DFW Airport.

Zach I see there are two airports close by. Tampa and Macdill. Is that where the reading is coming from?

My thoughts was that perhaps the actual HiRAD location on the CC screen was never changed, but just the title, as back in 2009 the CC screen was labeled as Downtown Tampa, and the metro map reading of Tampa was different back then than the CC screen.
