I saw that exact Weatherscan unit back in 2007.. that was the first time I ever saw Weatherscan in my life and for sure before I joined here. I dont remember though if those were the getaways then
The last time I saw images of this unit, it only had the Boat & Beach segment. Apparently travel and airport were added not too long ago.

Came across this today... this was definitely a headend special request.

Well, now, that does look a bit scholarly!  :)

How interesting that your Weatherscan has advertising on the bottom scroll bar.  Ours has only one ad - an invitation to watch "Wake Up With Al" which appears intermittently.  Otherwise, it's just an empty blue bar across the bottom of the screen.

That isn't my Weatherscan... but I do get some local ads here from time to time (mostly Comcast ads). Otherwise it's just the TWC ads.

Yeah, because i have the same provider and pretty much the same stuff you do, i just don't have the "Traffic" like most of the city locations.

The Weather Channel didn't renew its contract with Traffic Pulse, so no one has the traffic reports on the local forecast or on Weatherscan anymore.

My Weatherscan unit keeps rebooting

EDIT: I see that this is happening every 15 minutes, it may be a problem with the 2 minute forecast "flavor" that shows at :00, :15, :30, :45

Commercial on Weatherscan?

during the reboot the SD Satellite Feed was triggered which showed some "Credit" commercial for a couple seconds before switching to the "ID Screen with the rotating IS Logo."

It can happen. When Weatherscan reboots, it defaults to the TWC feed until the the graphical local portion of Weatherscan returns. If TWC happens to be in a commercial when the reboots occurs, you'll see the commercial.

I noticed they have changed the wording on the city ID screen that appears at :00/:15/:30/:45. It used to say "Weatherscan is only available on [insert cable provider name here]." It now says "Weatherscan is brought to you by The Weather Channel and [insert cable provider name here]."
