WeatherScan HD? Some people had said they are seeing new WeatherScan channel on some cable system / have 2 digital WeatherScan channels.
Does any one have video of it? also any new weather star HD videos?
any planes for WeatherScan HD national?
-
There is no Weatherscan HD, and AFAIK no plans have been made yet.
-
Then why do some cable systems have 2 digital WeatherScan channels?

could be from different markets... Mike'll be able to elaborate on this for me.

I never heard of headends having two Weatherscans from different locations. For a few months though in 2004 and again in 2007, Weatherscan here was on two channels (119, 120), but they were both from the same location.

Same here, I have Weatherscan on 19 and 116, though 116 has no audio.

My Brockton Headend is on Two WeatherScan channels 245 and 845

May i mention that there wont be a HD scan unit for a long long long long time. Cable headends are stubborn enough now just adding major network HD channels. They cant afford the bandwidth for it.

I remember when Irving had 2 WxScan channels. One on 95 and another one on 99. This was probably due to the change over from 95 to 99 or the amount of interference on that channel.....

You bumped a 2 YEAR OLD topic for that?!

If you're going to have steam coming out of your ears, could you please put that steam to good use and melt the snow from my front porch? Thank you in advance. :brr: :snow:

Just to put icing on the cake, If there was any rumors about Wxscan going HD your the one wasting your time listening to that false rumor. TWC won't waste their time with WeatherScan if they thought it needed to go HD.

Haha! They won't even waste their time with continuous live broadcasting... and when there is live broadcasting, they show the same segments every 30 minutes, which are all usually pre-recorded except for the little 10 minutes of forecasting they do during the half-hour, which another 10 is taken by commercials, usually advertising bullcrap that we don't want to watch, or just want to watch for the limited commercials and/or the garbage they call "LIVE WEATHER" they present now (that NBC took over).
I love the Weatherscan for one reason:
You don't have to watch the pre-recorded "live" forecasting or the TV shows.
You should get why I said "pre-recorded 'live.'"

Well, I guess since one person already bumped the topic (which was two years old when he did) before to express an opinion, I guess I felt I should do the same. Yeah, I really needed to bump it
