I’m pleased to announce a new, customized TWC Today theme for the forums!
I found a free theme developed by another guy that I downloaded and customized. You can apply this theme by going to your profile settings > look and layout > change theme, and all the way at the bottom, select use this theme. I am also going to develop a red version for Storm Alert mode. Questions and comments are welcomed.
NOTE: For some reason, all the user badges aren't working at this point. I'm looking into it.
Also, gonna have to work on the logo to make it bigger, but that shouldn't be hard.

Looks great!
-
I love it! :D

Love it, Tyler. User badges are fixed. I will work on optimizing the rotating logo for this theme in the next few days. I've already begun the conversion process with the main logo and modified the necessary CSS file. I will work to make the current logos a little more, how do I say this... "gray friendly"...
PS: Might I suggest making the "no new posts" image a lighter shade of gray? It's a bit confusing, making me think there's new posts when there aren't, as only the bottom part of it changes when there's new posts.
PPS: Here's your requested image (again, courtesy of the original creator, Jonathan):

Looks fantastic, Tyler! Great job, I really like this theme
-
Nice job on the theme, Tyler!
Update: I spotted one minor error in the theme when I view the board guidelines. I end up seeing the link chain of "TWC Today/TWC Classics Forums » Board Guidelines » Board Guidelines" repeated twice. Someone just needs to delete that duplication on the board guidelines page. Thanks!
-
Love the new theme Tyler! thanks for everything
-
AMAZING!!! :worship:
-
I like the new theme, I'm using it right now.
-
looks awesome! B) good job

That's an easy fix. I'll add it to my list.

I see what you mean, but I can't seem to find the error. I'll keep looking.

I love it! I just dont like it how my avatar on the forum is scrunched up at the corner
-
:thrilled:
But the gray text at top is a LITTLE too dark for me. Can you go into the CSS and change that? Thanks! :)
-
The scrunched avatar issue should be fixed.

I'm afraid I don't get it. I am not understanding what your talking about. :dunno:

Follow Tyler's instructions in his post by going to your profile and choosing the "look and layout" menu option. Then, click "change theme", and scroll all the way down to the last theme shown. Select it, and you'll see what we're talking about now.

Rotating logo migrated over to the WxCtr theme. Old theme no longer has an active rotating logo due to the eventual phasing out of that theme.
-
Something fucked up just happened and Mike's post disappeared. Any rate, I'll address his question here. Yes, a "brighter" theme can be made. It'll most likely have to wait until 2.0 goes gold so that two themes don't have to have code changes migrated over. My gut is saying there won't be any more RC's, so it'll be any day now.

Oh, we're going to phase out our current theme. :(

Well, in a sense, it won't be the "default," it'll be the failsafe, or something like that. I'll reenable the rotation if everyone wishes. It's a line I have to edit to do so. It's no problem, lol.

Please keep the forum rotation in place on both themes.

I will be collecting more user input before making that decision

Done.

The logo on the current "curve" theme is now smaller. Was this intentional? :dunno:

Yes. It makes it much easier to maintain the logo on both themes. It was supposed to be that small to begin with anyway. It also makes it smaller computer resolution friendly also.

I agree 100%.
Here's a "light" version of it that I just modified:

That version would definitely help.

Looks great. Do you have a link to the original theme, on SMF's website or something?
-
Sorry, I don't have a link to it.
Edit: there is a link to the guy's website at the bottom of every forum page.
