I have a V-Stream XPert TV-PVR. Not a name brand, just a cheap one I picked up a few years back at one of those computer show and sales they have (don't know if they have them in your area or not so you maynot know what I am talking about).

As far as I know, it is tuned to the correct port. I have the following choices: S-video, Composite, Antenna, Cable. I assume that the correct choice would be Composite.

Yes, you are right. Have you tried the VCR with a TV? if that doesnt work, check the cable.

Yes, the VCR works fine with the TV. I have about 20 minutes of recently recorded TWC footage on a tape that I'd like to transfer over to my computer so that I can post it on the site. I have tried several other AV cables, all with the same result, so I'm assuming that there is nothing wrong with the cables.

Does the Tuner work with the same or any other connections?

The TV watching function works fine. I just plug the cable tv cable into the cable hookup on the card, and I'm on my way.

Hmm thats weird. it must be a problem with the composite port. can you use the regular coaxial connection for TV?

That's what I meant. I use the coaxial hookup for watching TV with the tuner card. Is it possible that I can hook the VCR up to the tuner card via coaxial cable instead of using (or trying to use) AV cables?

If the VCR has a coaxial jack, then sure.

If not, you'll need a Modulator which converts the RCA jacks to a modulated RF signal, in the form of Coaxial output.

Yes, the VCR does have a coaxial jack. But then, if I go that way, what about audio?
