I apologize for this noob-ish question, but what exactly is a Local Across the 48s? I mean, I know it's kind of like you record a local forecast from where you live, but is there any other reason behind it? Nonetheless, if I can visit my grandmother that day, her cable company has an IntelliSTAR so I may be able to participate this time around.

LAT48s is when we all (who can) record their LFs all at the same time just for fun.

I'm still not sure if i can participate. If I can't record it, please understand that it's for obvious issues (family watching too much tv) and that it was for unavoidable reasons.M y slingbox doesn't work for my upstairs receiver so I can't use that either.

Would love for you to be able to participate. Basically you said it. We all record a local forecast at the same time across the country. Neat to compare everyones weather, configurations ,etc. this time we are recording the first TWC segment after to catch the new LDL! Thanks for expressing your interest!

I've updated the news and edited the dates in this thread so that it shows March 11 at 8:58 PM ET for you, Martin.  If you want to make any additional updates or change any of my edits, please feel free to do so.  I just hope TWC doesn't have any more delays with the release of these new graphics and the LDL.
