Non TWC Related - A new intro I'll be using this summer. Look at the beginning of this video to see it. It's still a little rough, but it's getting there. It was made in After Effects.

This isn't perfect, but I took this image of the XL v2 background and removed TWC logo and the line where the banner/titleheader would be so I could use it for an IntelliStar emulation w/o having to crop the image (which is the way I did it in the past) I used the Clone Stamp tool in Photoshop.

I did something I've been very daunted and nervous about doing because I could never get it right for years which frustrated me. However, I tried it again in Photoshop today and the results came out much better than I expected.

Tools I Used
-Paintbrush (draw the state outlines; also to color the ocean from scratch)
-Eyedropper Tool
-Smudge Tool (Blend in some of the pixel areas from low resolution)
-Duplicated the states part of the map (one is blurred; 50% opacity, the other left as is)
-Added Contrast (maxed out at -150%) and slight brightness (2%)
-Sharpened the black state outlines
-Multiple Layers!

and I think that's it, listing everything from memory.

I redid Current Radar in Helvetica (I chose a Bold variant; thanks to Eric for IDing), it looks better and more realistic than the STAR Radar font I was using.

Revised - Fixed leading between Current and Radar and adjusted the placement/font changes of the radar legend and text.

I'm not working on this project anymore and I made these about 3 months ago. It was my idea of using an IS2 like LDL on the actual LF.

WSXL Red and Orange Warning Crawl Made in After Effects Using the Shape (Main red base for the crawl) and Pen Tool (Title header Line)

NOTE: I haven't made the yellow one yet (used for when Severe T'Storm Watches are issued) yet, but I will.

Also, you might notice some subtle, but notable changes with the text on the XL itself compared to the video posted right above...

My Version Two
I removed the LDL in this one, it kinda made the whole layout look cluttered looking back at it. Also I moved the time/date to the bottom and re-scaled the Windows 8 inspired interface. In addition to that, I changed "Conditions Nearby" to "Airport Conditions & Delays" There are other changes as well.
