I redid this map in MS Paint (well the part that's the ocean) and here's the rough draft. I'm gonna use that map Derek has for the city codes in my final draft like I did with the radar map of my area posted above.

I was trying to make it look more "vintage" I guess, how is it? Is it ok, is it too dark.....? If it's ok, I'll be using this style in my 12 Days of Christmas Emulation Special starting this Sunday.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys  , I was leaning towards #2 myself. I'm gonna post more pictures of other segments once I work on them.
