This is what the WeatherStar XL LDL might look like if it were ever used on non-LF programming. I made it to basically match the old XL LDL before the March 2010 IS LDL updates, with a few modifications, of course. Enjoy!

Did anyone watch my vids of the narrationless Weatherscan tracks I did a while back? I finally made some CD artwork for a 2-disc set I burned with those tracks. Enjoy them

Here's an updated version of the programming LDL I made for the WeatherStar XL. This time I made it in a similar format to the LDL on the IntelliStar. Whaddya think?

Just in time for "Green is Universal" week, I colored the TWC logo green on the WeatherStar XL, which may never happen in real life. What do you think?

Here's what the IntelliSTAR might look like if the blue LDL were to be discontinued (the product shown on the first pic is the regional CC product, which is rarely shown on the IS nowadays.)

If Dish Network or DirecTV were to install satellite IntelliSTAR 2 units to their TWC HD feeds someday, this my concept of what it might look like. Basically you would have a SLF with a bug (generated by the IS2) on the upper right corner of the screen, much like what both satellite TV companies have on their SD TWC feeds.

I found a screenshot of an IS2 from an online source, took a screenshot of one of my HD TWC recordings, and used Adobe Photoshop to crop out the IS2 and left the Facebook/Twitter bug alone.

Here's an updated LDL-free IS pic I made in Photoshop, this time without the "weather.com" text  :P

Here's an updated version of my 1/4-length XL LDL concept. I removed the "weather.com" text (to match the real IntelliSTAR LDLs) and added light drop shadows to all of the texts for better clarity.

The background image is from SiliconDust, which was taken from Bremerton, WA via Comcast (yes, Comcast in Bremerton still uses an XL according to the website )

Decided to do this for fun. Using Photoshop, I cropped out the IntelliSTAR's LDL from one of my tuner recordings and spliced it together with a letterboxed HD TWC feed (also taken from one of my tuner recordings.) Let's hope that this isn't happening with a real cable headend because displaying an IntelliSTAR over a letterboxed HD TWC feed is a big no-no  :nono:  :P

Hope you all enjoy the pic.

Here's part two of my HD TWC feed "error"  :P  This time, the IntelliSTAR-generated Facebook/Twitter bug (seen on the Dish Network SD TWC feed) cues over a letterboxed HD satellite local forecast. Like the first image, this one was also made in Photoshop.

This artwork took me two days to make. It's a fake Weatherscan for Astoria via Charter Communications. It was recreated based on a real Wxscan image I found on SiliconDust. The radar is from weather.com, and the image of the Astoria-Megler Bridge was taken by myself a few months ago. The graphics aren't as technically accurate as the real thing, but I tried my best to re-create them as best as I can.  What do you guys think?

Are you serious? That's excellent work, pretty dead on if you ask me.

Thanks a bunch Tavores!   I was attempting to re-create the shapes and graphics using the real Wxscan image as the guide layer in Photoshop, and I have to admit that I wasn't sure what other people would think, like did I do a great job, stuff like that. Thanks again for the kind words, much appreciated  :)

Here is my rough draft of the now-discontinued TWC station ID segment. The background was taken by myself from atop the Astoria Column a few months ago. What do you guys think?

I decided to put my CD album artwork skills to the test, and made the following artwork for my own personal TWC music mix:

The background photograph for the front cover was taken next to the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse in Washington state, while the photo for the disc tray back cover was taken at Blue Lake in north central Washington state about a year or so ago.

The songs I listed on the back cover are my favorite LOT8s songs. If you wish to make a copy of this mix, I suggest that you go find all of the songs listed on the back cover for yourselves anywhere you can find them, whether it's from a CD or from the internet legally. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy my artwork  :)

EDIT: The artwork has been updated to include a 19th track I found recently, "Walk, Don't Run" by The Ventures.
