Title: Stephen's Art
Post by: Stephen on February 24, 2008, 12:14:50 AM
This is the thread where I'll post all my TWC related artwork. :)

First off, an IntelliSTAR v2 emulation. :D

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4SQ_dneiYw

The background is courtesy of Billy, and the jogger on the OAF screen is from a stock video from artbeats.com. There is no radar as I haven't made a slide for that yet. The animations are sluggish because it's a PowerPoint 2007 presentation, and I recorded it with CamStudio, which slows down the animations. Nothing I can fix, unfortunately, but this is better than nothing. ;)

Some of the data is fake (more specifically, the record temperature screens), but most of it is real.

Song featured: "Good Times" by Trammell Starks. Enjoy! B)

The Weather Center 2001-2003 openers posted on this site. On the winter opener, the clip with the girl throwing the snowball I got from http://youtube.com/watch?v=b2vZmpuVg4I&feature=related.

I like it.  That is what the openers should be based off of, and not just a little graphic animation :P  (not that I don't like what they've got now)

Great Job, Stephen!  :twothumbs:

Here's an XL emulation I created (using MS PowerPoint 2007). :twothumbs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_jEE-8sMSI

Some notes: The "sun-burst" effect on each screen is laggy (because the recording process slowed it down a bit), but it's not too bad. Also, I had meant to post this last week (so the weather conditions aren't current in this video), but I had issues with exporting it out of WMM, but it's fixed now. :)

Anyways, enjoy! B) Song featured is "Adoration" by Ryan Farish.

Not bad. A few corrections though, on the local obs screens the weather icons were between the temperature and wind speed, not the way in your emulator. Also, you should probably make the text and icons a bit smaller, and align the humidity/dewpoint data, etc on the CC screen to the right.

Sony Vegas 5. The opener looks jumpier than it really is in the embedded player; try clicking the player and that'll direct you to the YouTube link and it will look better.
