Raymie's Icon-ery
« on: December 09, 2008, 06:33:36 PM »
Time for some long needed modified icons! Made with Photoshop and a good deal of the Eraser brush.

AM Clouds PM Sun v2 and AM T-Storms were actually seen on a STAR - the AM T-Storms is in the Screenshots section of TWCT (it's in the Extended Forecast).

  • Freezing Rain/Sleet: Added the ICY indicator on all other Freezing Rain icons.
  • Light Wintry Mix: The rows of precip were horribly aligned. This seems to be a modified icon originally, but from who I don't know.
  • Partly Stormy: My own creation. A forecast indicator that indicates storms rolling in, but fair weather conditions still existing.
  • Heavy Rain and Windy/Heavy Snow and Windy: These were not in my packages! Heavy Snow and Windy existed, but did not have a Windy indicator.
  • Scattered Rain: I happened to find in my Samurize pack (128x128, thus the need for a remake) a Scattered Rain icon, but it used the Heavy Rain 8-line icon for the rain. Day and night variants.
  • Storm Cloud: A resource for icon makers. It's the same shape as the cloud in the Partly Cloudy icon (thus the really snug fit for Partly Stormy).
  • Blowing Snow Alt: My Samurize pack also had this. It's not mine, and it's 128x128, but it has a fifth snowflake that seems to be missing from the traditional XL pack.
  • Freezing Rain with Thunder: Explains itself.

Awesome job on those icon ideas. I think I'll use your corrected "Light Wintry Mix" one from here on out.

Welcome to the modified icons team.

Nighttime Partly Stormy, in two flavors.
----
Shock: Michael's requested icons from me, not me from him. The dust in these is a brush.----Mostly Stormy icons. Not particularly hard to make.

Sleet and Snow with Thunder, in two variations.

Also modified Clearing and new Clouds Late icons with heavy TWN influence.

Improved Blowing Dust icons:
(the blowing dust layer is from the NBCU icons, which were taken from a guy in Poland!)
