As was I....pretty computer-savvy. I even performed a major software upgrade, which my parents scolded me for.

Alright - lets roll out some facts.

Your 7 - You have plans to create a HD PMX? Neat! Do tell me though, there are a few compression ratios to consider, especially when it comes to using something like an INCA based PMX unit, what compression factor would you plan on using, keeping in mind you have to keep the headend happy with a suitable bit rate! Understand any of that... or did Arthur come back on PBS and you got distracted?

2nd of all, TWN has NO plans of going HD as of yet. Trust me, there are enough issues with the SD networks that they havent even touched on the idea of a HDcast yet. You know the PMX's can barley handle 480i, let alone 1080i. For the past 3 years, there has been NO budget for anything PMX related. The latest QSU from Pelmorex doesnt look to promising for the future either.

"Yes I will also I will am buying a PMX unit today and use the files".. Uh huh.. PMX's are not available to the public, you cannot buy them off the shelf. You wouldnt be able to use the files anyways since they are HARDCODED in to the application.

Thank you Kyle, I had to remove my comments since I did not see the new topic saying we were to give special treatment to this person. Agree with everything you said!

I can say for sure that if Kyle says something, its true. Dont know what you heard but its not true. PMX units are not only in Ottawa. If your so sure your going to buy one, where are you going to buy it?

I might go to Ottawa this year to get one and wxmancanada did the myth about TWN in HD, Also mine are better and will show it to you
-Feeds Well the HD feed will be a bit like the Bell TV feed.
-New   They will be under the 3s of the hour and its called Forecast on the 3s.

Oh, Oh! YouTube! Well thats gotta be true then, the people on "youtube" have spoken!
PMXs are only in Ottawa!? Well the magic is certainly flowing strong here in Windsor tonight.
And TWN HD? We barely have OTA HD going.

You cant just go to Ottawa and walk into a shop and order a multi thousand dollar piece of equipment! Are you saying you have thousands of dollars and special access to get a unit? I think not. You already lied to everone saying you were going to "get a PMX system today"

TWN will NOT be going HD for a long time. Im sure Kyle (wxmancanada) even has access to people who work there. Stop spreading stuff you made up. Im sorry to be harsh but thats what your doing. I dont know what on earth you are rambling about forecast on the 3s. You dont have any equipment or software to create anything like a PMX or Star system. All you have are some basic powerpoints. Powerpoints cant be anything you want them to be.
