Here's A concept I made for the Current Conditions screen on the IntelliStar 2 HD.
IntelliStar 2 |HD| Current Conditions Concept Emulation

I like this one better than the current one.

I decided to Make a Tropical Summary section for the IS and IS2.
They Include:
-Projected Path Screen
-The Latest NHC Advisory

All feedback is welcome, so please tell me how to improve these screens or what to add. Thanks!  ;)
Also included is the new #ItsAmazingOutThere Screen.

I took a step out of the box (From PowerPoint 2013 - I learned the Limits of PowerPoint the hard way) and decided to try out After Effects CC, and now I'm hooked!
Here's my first After Effects Project ever. Took me about 5 Hrs. to finish. It's a bit of a random idea and I got inspiration from BBC's News globes.

luesjo12 Concept - The Weather Channel International Globe Loop

I created the "Rings" that go around the globe in PowerPoint, and wrapped them around using CC Sphere. The globe was done by wrapping a transparent world map around another CC Sphere. Halfway into production, I thought the rings were too thick, so I made a second version as you will see in the video. I Love After Effects and I would love to learn more. If anyone here is willing to help me learn more about After Effects, I would gladly appreciate your help. Hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave a suggestion or a comment on anything about the project. Thanks!

So, while I was experimenting with AE, I saw a video from TheFilmReel(TWCBen) of the Winter Storm Central Looping Graphics that TWC Uses, so I decided to recreate them in After Effects.
Winter Storm Central Loop Recreation

Keep in mind, this is still a WIP, and I am trying to add more to it to look more like the frost/ice texture and the lopping radar thing plus a better background. Please, give me any suggestions, as they are very much appreciated.

If this is still relevant, try a tutorial on displacement maps. If you have one infront of your other comps, it makes it look look somewhat TWCs loop. I myself am trying to make up the severe storm central loop, including transitions which are super difficult. Hope I could help!

Hi Everybody!
While I was bored watching TWC, I decided to recreate what Day Planner would have looked like if TWC had kept it and updated its graphics package to match the current Weather All The Time package.

So I started off with a set of 3 different logos:

From there I chose an individual logo I thought would fit the WATT Package. I chose #2. I then proceeded to design elements for the logo. I took some of the "time" elements from the old Day Planner package, added some flares and a blurred background and this is how it turned out:

Finally, I wanted to see what the graphics would look in the studio screens and lower third area. This is how that turned out:

So that's what I thought Day Planner might look like if TWC kept the show and updated its graphics package. I hope you enjoy it and if you have a question or comment, it is very much appreciated. I am thinking of doing another one of the shows TWC dropped in favor of having less shows. Any Suggestions? Thanks!

Great concept, I think the second image does give a realistic idea of what Day Planner would look like if it still existed. I would suggest maybe trying out Weekend View or Your Weather Today.
