TIP: Go to your slide/design tab and change it to 16:9. Anything in 4:3 seriously cannot be HD, as HD is widescreen. Also try using some gradient fills.  :wave:

After seeing Tyler and Donovan's posts, I tweaked it. And made it 16:9. :)
EDIT: The WOW! logo got cut off when I posted it. I'll see if I can fix that.

haven't been here in forever...
anyway, this is how I envisioned Weatherscan to look if TWC ever gave it a graphics update after the WATT relaunch. It's not the best, and I'm sure TWC could make something that would look at least a thousand times better.

so what do you guys think? i'm open to any suggestions you have  B)

Been a while...
I've been having some Weatherscan withdrawals lately, so I figured, "why not make something?"
This took roughly 2 hours to put together, especially with getting the l-bar and other graphics to be exact, but I'm somewhat pleased with the result.
If you guys have any suggestions, feel free to let me know. Thanks  :)

edit: because some people would ask... It's pretty obvious I didn't make the icons. lol :P

In all honesty, I'm not too pleased with my earlier stuff, because I was quite young and didn't really have much experience with GIMP, PowerPoint, etc.; but now that I've gotten more accustomed to them, I think it's been a LOT better than I ever expected.
Just for the hell of it, here's a kinda realistic pic I worked on of how the original IS looked back after the graphics update back in 2007. I'm not doing the 2013 design - I cannot figure out how to make it look anything like it does in real life.

EDIT: Oh great. The LDL was off center. I'll adjust that in the next pic.

Moved over to Mac, so I started to make some artwork again.

I made a few adjustments to this, mainly with adjusting the size of the containers and the fonts. I forgot to include the temp on the LDL (a minor oversight on my part), but otherwise I think it came out fairly well.

Lemme know what ya think!  :)
