My local cable company moved TWC from Channel 29 to Channel 4 almost a year ago.. Is there anyone on the forums who works for the weather channel that can change the ID at the top of the hour to read the correct channel number? I must have some sort of OCD but it drives me nuts when I see this..

Seeing as how amends were made, I can say this... you could make a thread for the STAR team on TWC Classics forums for action.

Ok will do.. Thanks.. :)
-
Yeah, the STAR Team should fix it. The cableco should change these details in such an event, but Cox Phoenix never did - and I got that ID changed once!
-
This same problem occurs with the Bad Axe XL as I figured out earlier this month. It says that TWC is on Channel 32, when it is actually on Channel 31. However, it has always been on Channel 31 as long as I can remember.

It does the same thing in the AC IntelliStar as well, they list it as CH48 still when it's on CH61. They made the channel switch in 2007.

Doesnt seem like the STAR team was ever notified when these head ends changed channels. Perhaps they will get around to updating that info
-
Martin is correct. It is the headend's job to notify TWC when it changes the channel number. This is actually a common error. Just notify the STAR Team via the Tech Support forums at TWCC.
-
WHAT? The STAR team is not physic? Outrageous! :P
-
They don't seem to have been online on TWCC in almost a month now. No responses at all have been made since my Intellistar was updated, and I am not the only one who has requested changes.

They still log on everyday. You can't expect them to make all the changes requested though. They probably even already have those changes in consideration, but didn't get to it yet.
-
Mike's right. They log on almost every day. They're just very busy with the HD STAR.

Speaking of the Star Team, do you know if a Tides product can be suggested by viewers, or by the headend? Because I've asked Comcast already, and they never understand what I say to them.

I would think the viewers would have to suggest it. If marine products are not included in initial setup by the headend, then the viewers will probably have to ask for them. I am trying to get the STAR team to add marine products to all Great Lakes STARs.
-
I can't even believe that I put a suggestion in for a STAR that I don't even get to see very often.

the myrtle beach intellistar was on channel 21 and was moved to 25
but the station id still says channel 21
-
The STAR team has not logged onto TWC Classics since mid-November... not sure if I should share though how I got recent changes made.
-
I hope the bombarding of requests people have made didn't scare them away. :(

Yep.
-
Believe me, I have not been doing that. Tony just hasn't logged in.
-
Ever think you're one of the reasons he stopped logging in?
-
No, not really
-
Hmm, interesting.
