My disappointment was truly premature! Sometime when I was at work today Bright House added the HD feed to the lineup! And... guess what... we have the IS2, something I didn't get for two years in Massachusetts!!!!
It looks GREAT! And, yes, I actually did do a little happy dance!

That is excellent! That must mean that its in Tampa too!

I'd think so. It's on channel 1225 here, but I don't know how similar your lineup is to ours. The channel isn't yet available on the program guide, nor by using the channel up/down buttons; it must be entered directly.
If you can't find it, do what I did: press the blue "B" button on the remote control and search for any of TWC's programs. If you have the HD feed now, you'll see each program airing listed twice: one for the SD feed and one for the HD feed.

Nice! Any way you can get a clip?

Damn, is everyone gonna get the IS2 before I do? lol :P

Maybe the one in Marietta, GA isn't provided by Comcast. It could be provided by Charter Cable. :dunno: If it is provided by Comcast, then you're right that is odd.

It's the Comcast system alrighty.. the user who posted the Marietta IS2 video posted a video of an IS from Marietta in 2009 with the ID of 22207, and it's Comcast for sure since your ID is 22204.

Only with my cell phone, and since I'm not at all a fan of such recordings, I doubt I'm going to do it that way.
That said, I DID consider it last night, using picture-in-picture to show the differences between SD and HD in real time. However, because of the technical differences between SD and HD, it wasn't really "real time," since the HD feed lags by a couple of seconds behind SD. It was getting annoying, so I decided not to do it.

Hey, I had plenty long to wait. :) In Massachusetts I was struck by the Comcast curse, meaning I had HD but no Intellistar 2. I then had to wait six months after moving to Florida to even get the HD feed at all, and I was honestly extremely surprised to see that the Intellistar 2 was installed down here.
I was happy when I saw on my cable box that the HD channel was available, and, one second later, darn near ecstatic to see a local LDL in place of the national scrolling list of cities. :)

It's amazing to me that you live in Atlanta, and yet the IS2 hasn't been installed in your area yet. Once upon a time, Atlanta was the first to get the updates simply because The Weather Channel is located there.

Atlanta is no longer a priority anymore, I realized that when one day we had severe weather and TWC completely ignored an opportunity to do wall to wall coverage. To say the least I was completely shocked. Oh the humanity! :o (Everything in red was sarcasm)

Now if it would come to Chicago… :P
