Title: Do you currently view TWC in High Definition?
Post by: Jae on July 24, 2008, 11:46:03 AM
This is just a little poll I wanted to start to see how many of us are able to watch TWC|HD. These should be some interesting statistics.  B)

The current HD offerings in TWC is pretty much the same. The national programming is the SD feed it's just pillarboxed with the |HD| logo that's all.

Except for the shows that are broadcasting in HD. ;)

Which is about 69.6% of the weekday programming, soon to be 100% within a few weeks; I'd say that's worth it.

Just received TWC HD this morning... let's say I'm impressed so far with the picture quality and how the HD studio segments look in HD now. I posted my thoughts in the genereal TWC HD discussion thread atop page 47.

Nope... Qwest doesn't have it for Phoenix yet.

YAY! I am now a JR. Member. I have been here for like less than a week too.

Yes, I do. The one thing I like about the new HD is the blue bar at the bottom!

I don't watch it because we are stuck with Comcast and they don't have the channel avaiable in my area.

Insight is going to add TWC HD. For Free!! It's part of their 4.0 upgrade that's coming in December.

Do You think your XL on the SD Feed will be upgraded to an Intellistar?

I'm kinda balanced on that. One, I'll miss the WeatherStar since it's a classic and I pretty much grew up watching TWC in the XL era, but, I'll won't complain about it when they do switch since I do not mind the IS, despite the narration.

I also wonder if I'll get the HD star or just the HD satellite feed.

You won't get it immediately, I'll tell you that. Last I heard, the HD Star is still under its beta testing in the NYC metro area.

Really? It's been three months now since release, I wasn't expecting it to be in Beta testing for this long.

So I guess I'll get the HD star feed instead then.

That's not fair! Insight used to be in my area too! I hate Comcast!  :furious:

I finaly got DirecTV and TWC HD!   But I'm unable to see the satellite IntelliSTAR. At least I've finally ditched Comcast and their annoying IntelliSTAR! Plus even the resception wasn't inproving and Comcast in my area still doesn't have TWC HD.

But still, from the 3000, to the 4000, to the XL, and to the IntelliSTAR, its been nice knowin' ya. Farewell IntelliSTAR #22878!

I might be headed in the opposite way of you. If Bright house offers Basic TV Channels at no extra charge with their internet, I might be able to get some IntelliStar clips. :)

But it's a thought, not confirmed. ;)

I know that it is available with Comcast, but we are already paying them enough money!  :nono:  :club:
I hope to be getting AT&T U-Verse soon, which comes with TWC in HD.  :)

I do now through DirecTV. My television is the only Standard Definition TV in the house, and that's what I watch the most. Let's say... 15% of the time I am watching TWC it's TWC|HD|.

I love watching TWC |HD|, everything except for older recorded shows are in HD now and it looks gorgeous on my TV, it almost looks surreal sometimes.
