Well it is still on this morning.  I guess I am like a sports fan supporting a team on a losing streak. I grew up watching TWC and I would hate to loose it. However, due to their scheduling, I rarely watch it anymore. Many, many times I turn to it to see what is going on around the country and they have a stupid show on. Or I have to wait hours to see my local forecast. (other than the NWS on my website) I definitely would not want my Dish bill to increase because of it. I hope this is the "wake-up-call" to put them back on track. If not, and Dish finds another weather source that actually shows the weather, I won't miss TWC for that long.

I think they're likely keeping TWC and The Weather Cast on DishTV at the same time as a competition. I guess they probably believe if TWC has competition, that they'll try to provide more Weather Coverage..or at least thats my guess.

My mother just called  Dish,   Dish saved TWC!!!

TWC WILL go off at midnight tonight then wait  24 hours and then it will be back on.  I believe Dish is keeping both (weather cast and weather channel.)

They already caved? Lame!

This was a lame move but oh well it's Dish's idea. BTW, how long do you think this new Weathercast channel will last for?

Lame video trying to use the sadness and destruction of the past tornado outbreaks so they can make money

You think they payed people to say that they were watching TWC during the tornado, or even worse, threatened to kill them...

While I feel sorry for the DISH users out there who will lose TWC, I also think (maybe not, though) it teaches TWC/NBC/whoever a lesson. Funny that they are cancelling the movie tonight, too. Do you know why, Martin?

Guess Dish got my complaint e-mail.  I hate to see them go.  But it is a nice gesture to give us an alternative when Weather Channel wants to pretend to be Discovery or a movie network.
