Summery of our experience with them: removing channels and raising prices; slow internet speeds, crappy customer service.

I can't complain with their internet one bit. I usually have speeds higher than 15 MBPS Down, even though i'm only supposed to get 4.

Let's see..where to begin...high prices...countless hours on the phone with customer service, to usually be told its my fault...ridiculously high prices...yeah, that about sums it up.

I hate how comcast is the ONLY cable provider in my area. The only other option here would be directv or dish network.

Thats one thing that's always been a problem here. Thankfully, though Verizon is slowly but surely rolling its FiOS service out, though it hasn't quite reached the Baltimore area yet. It is now available in many of the surrounding counties though, so thats a sure sign its going to be here soon. There's also apparently a company named Mediacom (I think...) that serves some part of the state (I believe out in the western parts somewhere), but they won't be coming to Baltimore I don't think.

I seem to recall a slightly larger variety of cable companies out here not too long ago. My guess is that they were bought out by comcast.

I miss Suburban Cable, a local cable company. They were much better. Lenfest Communications, the company that owned Suburban, was bought out by Comcast in 2000. We have had Comcast since. Lenfest owned many other good local cable companies here, including Garden State Cablevision and the Susquehanna Cable Company.

I still remember seeing the suburban cable logo on TWC's station ID back in the late 90's. Those were the days.
