Any word on Weather Channel HD on Comcast in Atlanta?

I thought for sure since I literally live 2 miles from TWC that I would wake up this morning with Channel 832 (that'd be Weather HD)...no dice (although the set does look great).  Comcast seems to ad channels with no advance warning or fanfare, so I keep having to check to see if we get it.  Any word on the launch in Atlanta metro?

Yes (I think it's called the digital enhanced or something?), and we get the sports channels, all the history/a&e/tlc/food, etc., and CNNHD....I don't think there is an "upgrade" we'd need here that we're not getting.

Do you have an HD calbe box? You can't get HD channels with a standard box.

yeah I have the HD box, but TWC HD is not listed in the channel guide, nor does it come up when I try punching 832...I guess Comcast has not rolled it out in ATL yet....argh.

Thanks for the welcome...I have been a member of the old site (twcclassics) but just realized today the "new" days site had split off...been watching TWC though since we got cable when I was 14 or so!

Well we're certainly glad you found us! I can imagine how it might have taken you (and probably everyone else that started at TWCC) awhile to find us, as by looking at their forum you'd be hard pressed to realize that the current stuff now has a site of its own.

Anyway, sorry we can't be of more help in figuring out your TWCHD issue. I do know, though, that Comcast is very haphazard about adding new HD channels.

Just talked with a Comcast analyst...there is no release date for Weather Channel HD in Atlanta.  WTF?

It's Comcast.  When they get around to adding it, TWC will already be broadcasting in SOMGUHDTV.  (Super Oh My Gosh Ultra High Definition Television)...about 2030.
