I would've been with my old friends if I didn't switch school districts. The school that I was supposed to go to was prone to gang activity, drugs/alcohol, and poor school facilities.
Same here. My local high school is corrupted and extremely degraded, so my parents refuse to send me there. Thhe private school i go to is a lot better and every one is so nice!!

I'm in 9th grade. :)

One thing that I don't like about school is the lack of friends I have. :(

Why? Is anyone treating you bad? Actually I have a lot of friends except this junior that keeps on calling me a "stealer" all the time for no reason. I get very annoyed by that! And other people think I am popular! NO JOKE
I get pelted with stuff in class, and rocks thrown at me in between periods. When I get assertive about it, they go and get me in trouble. I've tried telling several teachers, but they still haven't stopped (not that I have expected them to stop). In my previous years of school, I made friends so easily, particularly with girls. This year had been very bad so far. I think it's because I have different interests then most other teenagers. How many teens do you run into who like instrumental music? Or meteorology?

WTF? That's terrible. I have been having many problems with bullies ever since I moved two years ago. I've also told staff members about it but the students just keep annoying me. Last year was probably the worst school year so far because this group of people who were on my bus (who are a grade ahead of me) who always bullied me and tried to get me in trouble by harrasing other people, especially girls. Fortunately those people aren't on my bus this year so I don't have to deal with that much anymore.

There are only like five people I am familiar with who are nice. Everyone else basically are bullies.
I'm really sorry to hear that Mike. I'm glad they aren't bugging you anymore. Nobody deserves to be treated this way.

I would've been with my old friends if I didn't switch school districts. The school that I was supposed to go to was prone to gang activity, drugs/alcohol, and poor school facilities.

Mike I feel sorry for you. I think public schools have a bad system of that. I am in a charter school in which we all have descent respect for each other. I am in Leadership Public Schools. And for you, only 5 people. I hope you didn't get beaten up, because that's terrible if that happens. That hasn't happened to me so far!

Derek, I feel sort of feel sorry for you, because people treat you bad and I feel that you did the right thing by telling the principal that this happened to you. I hope you are not beaten up so far.

And Thunder, I feel sorry that people call freshman "baby freshmen". That is rude. I am a freshmen too. And as for that, no one in my school calls any freshmen that. And it feels rude. I wish they would stop.

And I am warning you guys, you won't be able to survive in high school, because of these mean people. Try to do the best you can! You guys did the right thing!

I was beaten up once on the very last day of 7th grade. And it was for the dumbest reason in the world: my shoes.

Beaten up for shoes? What's with people these days.

Last year I got beaten up by the group of people I mentioned in my previous post. This one kid picked me up, and "spun" me around like how a parent would play with their little kids. Then he threw me on the ground. Rediculous. And all the school did was contact his parents. I was expecting them to suspend or even expell him, but  :nono:

High school is tough.

A huge person grabbed a log and beat me across the back several times until I was on the ground, struggling for breath. I had red marks on my back for at least 4 months. The part that really bothered me was that absolutely no punishment was given to this person. So basically, they completely got away with it.

Derek, oh my goodness. I was beaten up in 8th grade and for no reason he and the other guy kept on hurting my back, kicking me. You know what, if I were that person, I would not do that to anyone. Because of your shoes! Why that bully! I don't care what shoes people wear. It's our opinion. And he got away with it.

Mike, you are at least happy that the schoool contacted his parents. And did he stop hurting you at that  particular point?

I'd say some of you need to tell you parents to go to a school board meeting and make the princapals crack down on bullying.  What I am reading is absolutely rediculous and uncalled for..10000% :glare:

No one. A lot of people at my school listen to rap music, which I dislike with a passion. As far as I know, nobody at my school knows I enjoy LF music yet, but they'll probably find out if they go to my Myspace profile and see that I like it.

Today I asked people if they've ever heard of artists like Dave Koz, Joe Sample, Spyro Gyra, or Ryan Farish, and they gave me a blank stare.
