I notice in the past year or so my joints make a "cracking" or "popping" noise when I move them. Why does this occur? Is this normal?

That happens to me.  But I have juvenile arthirtis and at age 14 it's pretty serious.

I hope that doesn't mean that I have signs of developing arthritis. I've been bike riding a lot lately so I have no idea what's wrong.  :-\

Nah those noises are pretty common. My joints crack and pop more than a 4th of July fireworks show, and I'm arthritis free.

My ankles and knees do it all the time.  As of my last physical...nothin is wrong.  I crack my knuckles all of the time..so that COULD lead to arthritis later in   life..but I also heard that that was just a myth.

Actually, no. But I do have issues with my back, courtesy my backpack. My stupid teacher last year wouldn't let me have a roller backpack. :(
