Yeah, I would never want to live that close to Midway. the houses litterally are RIGHT next to it.
Didn't a Southwest flight crash upon landing destroying houses and killing  6 yr old? :(
Far too close for me. I wouldn't want a plane's wheel on my rooftop! :frantic:

It skidded off the runway onto an intersection, and yes, it did kill a little boy. I dont think any houses were damaged though.

There's always planes flying above my house. I hear at least one every half hour, especially at my dad's house, since he doesn't live far from an airport (Northeast Philadelphia Airport).

There's a plane flying right over my house. United 655 from Chicago-O'Hare.

How can you tell what flight it is?
By using flightaware.com

How does that work? can you see a number on the plane to identify it? I assume then that these planes must be pretty low when you see them.

Every flight is assigned a flight number. This is for air traffic control to identify which plane is which. Yiu should go to airliners.net. I'm a member there because I'm a planeaholic!

I know that. But how do you determine that that airplane that just flew over your head was Flight blah? I mean, you have to be able to identify the plane somehow before you can identify which Flight and Carrier its with, don't you?

On flightaware's website, you look at the airport page and check arrivals. If there's a United plane on top of you with a landing time of 5:45 pm and it's 5:45 pm right now, then obvioulsly that's the flight.

I was gonna say, either your brother hasn't gone through puberty yet, or you must have a very deep voice.  :D

My voice isn't super deep, nor is it super high pitched. It's kinda in the middle.

I still have a little kids voice. It'll be deepened once I'm in high school, hopefully.

I really don't care if mine is still like this in the early high school years.
