Is #2 Take Five?

Artists: Free Flight (Illumination, 1989), Acoustic Alchemy (Reference Point, Aug 1990), Dave Brubeck Quartet (Jazz:The Definitive Performances, Aug 2006)

That is what I thought as well but I could not find a Take Five for "Acoustic Alchemy".

Part 2 isnt Take Five. Nice try though...

NOTE; While its OK that you guys post some of the answer in parts.....as a draft.... The final answer to all 3 parts MUST be in ONE post. So even if you partially answer part 1 or 2 corretly... you can go back to your previous post(s) if you get the other part (s) correct and repost the final answer to all 3 parts, in a single post.

2) Find the only song that was covered by three different artists, with the same main melody. Some knowledge of Classic TWC music (from the late 80s) may be required for the full answer. Again each answer will have three parts : a-artist, b- album where the song is from, c-when used on TWC
Do they have the same title?

Are you saying that one or more of the songs on question 2 played in the late 80's? I searched for all the songs on TWCC's late 80's playlists on Google and could not find a song there made by two other artists that was featured on TWC (other than Take Five).

Yes. There is another song. While (actually) four versions of Take were used on TWC, including one by the Lenny Marcus Trio from Jazzaphrenia (used march or april of 04) There is one song that was covered by 3 artists only, which is why the riddle is called 3 for 3 for 3, including one of the covers from the 80s.....keep searching.. you will find it

very close Mike, very close....actually your answer to part 2 would be also an extension of part 3... I actually missed "Rainbow".... good find. However, like I said "Rainbow " would be a compliment to part 3. Part 2 requires the song have the same main melody, three covers written by 3 different artists however. "Rainbow" has three different melodies, and are therefore not covers, hence an extension of part 3 that I happen to miss

Dont forget, you have to list all three versions of "For You" and the CD's they are found on.
