WeatherNation's Coverage During 2/20/2014 Severe Event
« on: February 20, 2014, 04:36:39 PM »
Now I really miss TWC's coverage of severe weather today, given this is the first time WN has covered a severe event this year and the coverage is somewhat lacking. I wanted to see how they did, now we know. Yikes!

Kind of weird to see storm chaser Reed Timmer on WN giving live reports. I thought he would stay loyal to TWC during the blackout given the time they devoted to promoting him last year.

Warren, on behalf on TWC Today and TWC Classics, welcome to the forums. :welcome:  I have watched several of your storm chasing videos and used to purchase your 'Storms' calendar each year.

Anyway, wouldn't Reed give live reports to more than one network? Jeff Pitrowski was giving reports on Fox News on May 31 of last year, during the El Reno, Oklahoma outbreak.

I'm sure he will appear on any network that brings some $$. Storm chasing isn't quite a profitable business....especially these days. Plus the more air time means more brand image which is always good too! Interesting to hear that WNs severe weather coverage was lacking. It's a shame but thats where TWC and its massive affiliate network really comes in handy.

Welcome to the forums btw B)

WN has a long way to go to be considered good imp. Their on air talent/personalities are lacking. It's a little uncomfortable to watch.
