Verizon dropped the weather channel and we can no longer watch. They did the same with RFD TV but RFD TV has a paid subscription on the web so we can still watch it for $90 a year.
I would gladly pay that to watch the weather channel, any chance of that?

jeffpadell,
We are unable to answer this question. You will have to talk with your cable company. And as a disclaimer, this site is not affiliated with The Weather Channel in any way, nor are we endorsed by the company. Thank you.

Thank you, Verizon dropped the Weather Channel saying no one watches it EVERYONE gets their weather from their cell phones.

Verizon dropped the Weather Channel not because everyone gets the weather from their phone but Accuweather is in their pocket and costs less. If everyone got their weather from their phone Why did they get Accuweather as a replacement.

Correct, if no one watches why put a different service in its place

Well, that's probably the question any FiOS customer is asking. I agree with you though. FiOS had no true reason to abruptly replace The Weather Channel. I, for one, actually watched The Weather Channel. But for Verizon to say people can get their weather elsewhere was a horrible "reason" in my opinion.

1) Verizon is on an exclusivity clause with Accuweather for weather info. Whether or not TWC changes their mission I wouldn't expect it anytime in the foreseeable future.
2) The fact people get their weather "elsewhere" is in fact true since the advent of mobile devices/online streaming etc. Television ratings are at all time lows right now.
