Your Weather Today - times a-changin'

Here is a topic for us to discuss all of the changes going on with Your Weather Today as Marshall prepares to retire within the next month or so.

Today, Friday, October 10th, Nicole Mitchell is filling in for Marshall with Kelly Cass doing Travel. This comes after Bill Keneely has hosted the past two days and Wednesday-Friday of last week. Kevin Robinson has hosted the show Monday and Tuesday of both this week and last.

If Bill is off today, I can understand the sudden shift in the anchors for today, but if he's on Day Planner, then I'll start suspecting Nicole as an anchor candidate and be further led to believe that this is all some big tryout. I guess we'll find out soon enough; I'll be recording Day Planner while I sleep.

I wonder if Marshall will finally begin his run to the finish next week...

I don't exactly know who I'd want to replace Marshall.  I definitely don't want a double (triple?) female YWT team.  I wouldn't mind at all seeing Kevin Robinson take Marshal's spot, but I kind of like the team he has w/ Kim Perez.  Bill Keneely, in my opinion, would be a GREAT replacement for Marshall, but I also kind of like him and Kelly together, and obviously the Weekend View viewers, and TWC boss' agree with the viewers on that one, hence why they probably brought Kelly back to WV. 

Carl Parker is someone I'd also like to see.  Someone brought him up back when news first broke, and I wouldn't mind at all seeing him, either.  It'd make sense to have him, since he doesn't really have a spot

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Mark Mancuso take Marshall's place. Surely his tenure at TWC makes him worthy of more than some early morning weekend slot.

How long has it been since Marshall has last appeared?

I think it's been close to 2 weeks now.

I think Carl would be an excellent replacement for Marshall on YWT. His 'weekend and fill-in' position right now is much too weak concerning his persona and on-air talent. He has great on-air comfort and style; he always has a way of explaining things to how an average viewer could understand, and he also goes the extra mile during his presentations to explain outside information (indicating to me he loves meteorology and his job with a passion)

I don't think Bill or Kevin need to fill in for Marshall, I rather they stay with their weekend slots. Dave would also be a weak cantadate for the YWT position, as well as Nick Walker and others. I think the main weekday morning slot should be assumed by someone who is very serious and formal when it comes to meteorological weather presentation aspects. Bill K. doesn't seem to have this seriousness to me, and neither does Dave.

Perhaps YWT will be an all-woman show, with Nicole and Heather as the main anchors and Eboni Deon or another fill-in anchor becoming the new travel anylist? However it unfolds, we will probably be seeing some new faces on TWC sometime real soon.

I would like to see some new blood of OCMs too as long as they aren't as boring as Samantha.

I don't think TWC would bring in a new OCM for a replacement of a departing OCM, especially for a show like Your Weather Today.

It'll be interesting to see what happens.  We've only got just over a month with Marshall and Heather

I wish they would give us an exact date it seems like they havent been specific about his retirement. All ive heard is "In November" Hopefully they will give us an exact date soon.

If they were to bring in a new face to TWC, they'd have to train them on the HD studio. Which means... less Weather Center! On top of that, they might throw in Forecast Fluff and When TWC Got Huge Ratings.

You got a point there, I don't like the flip flopping of the long form programming during Weather Center as it is.
