What happened to Evening Edition with Paul and Alexandra (or whoever is subbing for her)? It wasn't on last night and isn't on again tonight?
-
Oops. Sorry Folks. Wrong forum. I thought I was on the Programming forum when I posted the above. Maybe a moderator can move it. My apologies.
-
Huh? EE was on last night at 8 PM ET (with Mike and Steph), and at 10:30 ET (due to Cantore Stories) and 11 ET with Carl and Jim.
-
Okay. Thanks. I frequently watch WC, and am used to tuning in on and off between 9 and 11 and seeing Paul and Alexandra, two of my favorites, on EE. Do you know if programs like Cantore Stories are going to be shown regularly during this time, or are things going to get back to normal?
-
Cantore Stories is just for this week.

Nope; it's just for this week (until they decide to re-air it again). EE will start at 10 ET tonight as normal, but it will start at 10:30 tomorrow night as Cantore Stories is being repeated that night.
-
Thanks. I'm watching now (10:15 PM ET) and I see Jim Cantore and Carl Parker. Where are Paul and Alexandra (if she's back)?

Paul's on vacation, Alexandra's on maternity leave, and should be back any day now.

I knew Alexandra was out on maternity (someone said she might be back the week of Jan 5th) but didn't know Paul was on vacation. Thanks everyone.

It's a shame that they blended all those segments into one. Not that Weather Center is a bad segment, but I liked Abrams and Bettes and Evening Edition. I even remember Overnight Outlook. Now, it is all Weather Center until First Outlook.
Just my 2 cents

I don't see how they composed music and graphics for four shows only for them to be discontinued less than a year later. Kind of a waste of time, IMO.

Well, really it was only two shows. Weekend Outlook's package was basically a copy of the Weekend View one, and Abrams & Bettes' package was mostly reused in the new Weather Center.
-
I do miss the EE theme :(
-
I want the 2008 Weather Center theme sooo badly, as with all the 2005-08 themes.

The creation of WC with A&B wasn't planned. It was something that was an idea conceived a la NBC just within the last few months.
-
Maybe they want to discontinue Evening Edition after eight years.
-
That is dissappointing that EE is gone. I miss their intros, especially the ones from before 2005. I loved those old ones!

I agree, it's was a good show (before June 2008). The 2003-2005 version (music, graphics, intro) was the best IMO.
-
I still think EE was better from June 2008 - Feb. 2009 than it was from 2007- May 2008. Right Now Weather kind of wore on me. :P

Agreed.

I thought they did have Right Now Weather after June 2008? (just w/o the lower third graphic)

I agree, that segment is so annpying.
