According to zap2it.com, WeatherProof Starts August 9th at 3pm.
Apparently they're taking out more live programming for more crap.

WeatherProof actually looks interesting to me... I may watch it.
-
I did hear before that WeatherProof (I guess it was formerly known as WxProof) was gonna be premiered around August and it does seem a bit interesting. But this counts as more long-form programing for me. <_<
-
Why arent they advertising it at all? I guess WUWA is still too important <_<

That's what I noticed too. I hardly saw any ads of this show and they still made more ads of WUWA. Pathetic.
-
I saw a promo of it before the station ID at 7:57am EDT.
-
So, I guess we won't be seeing WWCH anymore?
-
I'll admit I did like some of WWCH eps. Like the one about the Chicago Heatwave of 95'. I was hoping they would show one about the Superstorm of 93', I can't enought info on it, it's like it didn't exist.

I enjoyed that, Air Florida 90 and the Delta Flight 191 crash episode.

Yes, I agree that some of the When Weather Changed History episodes were good. You just have to give a show a chance. If I ever find time, I might watch this new show, just to see what it's about . Just give it a chance.
-
This show could be either really interesting or really boring. I'll give it a chance, but I don't have very high hopes about it.
-
I'll tune in to see how it is!! Steph is awesome so maybe that will make the show a bit better! IDK I'm gonna wait and see how it is.

According to this press release, the episode airing this weekend is just a preview episode, and the other six episodes of the series will air in January.
-
Also, it looks like WWCH will still air at 9PM and 3AM ET, according to Zap2it. Still no signs of any new episodes though.
-

Apparently they have zero information about WeatherProof on the TWC site.
-
That doesn't surprise me at all.
-
My guess is this is just a "test" run to see how the general viewer reacts to the show and then they will tweak it from there.
-
Alright... Weather Proof isn't bad. They need to letterbox the program for SD viewers though because this is highly not 4:3 safe at all. Newton Wimer is the fabricator for this show while Steph hosts. It's essentially MythBusters for weather. lol

it was horrible for SD Viewers, production FAIL.

It was meant to be letterboxed but forgot to flip that switch, just like the first storm session last year.
-
Its a decent program. Horrible narrator IMO. Doesnt fit the show at all
-
I saw the 12 AM airing and overall the show is pretty interesting and jaw-dropping. But they do need to fix the screen. I have been seeing "TEGORY 1 WINDS", "ILE HOMES", and "PHANIE ABRAMS".
in other comments, the final part when the boat is launched to a laminated window, is impressive! I do look forward to seeing another episode soon.
BTW if you missed it: My guide says till Wednesday at 8 PM and 2 AM ET.
-
Watching Stephanie Abrams watching wind blow :censored: up? You had me at Steph. I could watch her watching grass grow, she's that awesome. Yet why can't I watch Wake Up With Al?
-
It's a great show, great premise, but needs a lot of help with execution.
- Way too freaking dramatic. I realize this is about life and death situations, but it's just tests. Needs a different announcer (maybe Adam Berg...if ol' Dave Schwartz was still there he'd be a tremendous fit) to lighten the mood a little.
- Needs a second host. Mike Bettes would be the logical choice but kinda seems like overexposure for both. And that second host needs to cover the other topic...last night had "wind" and "water" and doing both the way they did it was kinda awkward. Have one host do wind, one do water, and interweave them together during the show.
- 4:3 safe, dammit.
Did like how they kinda followed the Mythbusters way...leave the biggest impact/bang for last as the OMGWOW!!!!
First TWC long-form I've watched from start to finish. Will watch again.
-
The show did look promising and I will try to watch it whenever it comes on again. I didn't get to watch it since I forgot and I had to bed early to get ready for school today anyway.
-
This may be the first long-form show in quite a while that is actually not a bust based on everyone's reactions so far.

I consider Newton as a secondary host but not a second host. I like the selection they used and that they chose him to be the fabricator. As long as they keep both Steph and Newton, I'll be happy.

I totally agree with you on this!!! I loved the show and all but your're right it does need a different narrator for sure!!! And I do agree that Mike would be a good second host. But then again he does have V2 for like 2 months or so. lol
-
-
I know for sure that's Steph in the pink. :bleh:
-
What could they be torching in flames within that shot? I'm guessing that this episode will be testing some kind of fireproof material.
-
http://twitpic.com/i7si8 Did the safe that was heated to 2500F survive a 30 foot drop? Watch "Weather Proof" in Jan. on TWC to find out!!!
-
That's something I would love to watch!
-
Looks like Jan is the debut im guessing

Yes, that's pretty much what all the announcements say on the TWC website. No exact date is given yet.
-
My guess would be around the third week of January...somewhere like that...

WeatherProof will air on Thursday, 3:00 PM. I'm pretty sure it's the same episode.
