Weather Channel to cover: Country Music awards?

From Jen Carfagno's facebook page:

"OK...I am so excited! Just got word that I am going to Nashville to cover the CMT Music Awards next week! Beyond cool! Actually, it's going to be HOT...no end in sight for the heat!"

CMT's website says it's Wednesday June 8 at 8 PM Eastern.

I am not surprised. The Weather Channel has become a glorified reality TV and entertainment station. Just like MTV really doesn't show music videos anymore, TWC hardly shows weather now.

Okay, how are we going to correlate weather to the CMT Music Awards?  It wouldn't surprise me if they play a special dose of country music on the LF that day.  There actually was a time that I seriously considered being on TWC as a meteorologist.  I think I made the right decision to switch to the NWS.

That's all I have to say about this.

I, too, wanted to do the weather for TWC, but thanks to them, I don't have a place to be where I can discuss weather forecasts and nothing more. As such, I'm stuck as to what I want to do. :(
