Think of this as a spinoff from FaaF.. they want views and covering they think covering the CMAs will give them more $$

I don't see how this is anything new. TWC has been sending OCMs to cover other non-weather-related entrainment events for years. See the Super Bowl and Kentucky Derby.

I can see them covering this to give viewer a sense of how Nashville has recovered from the floods that affected the Grand Ole Opry.
