there is a satellite version of the HD Star that is out already  that is what the viewers on DirectTV / Dish see during the local on the 8s.
It's only on DirecTV. ;)

It 'automatically' reformats to WIDESCREEN when it comes on whereas the rest of the 'on-air' programming is not formatted to widescreen on the HD channel...that is what makes me think that it is in high def.

Have you checked out the HD channel yet?

I thought I wasn't 'dreaming'....but, just wanted to confirm...thanks for the confirmation...any ideas on when it'll go FULL HD all the time?  I switched to DISH for TWC HD and for Fox Business Channel.

It was amazing that once I dropped Dish Network how much they've contacted me about wanting to 'give me' stuff.

As has been said in this thread already, full HD is not coming until mid 08.

It was also said in this thread a time or two that the LOT8's wasn't in HD and it was (on Directv HD).........so, I'm careful to 'verify' and ask questions!

It is your understanding (from TWC itself or some other source?) the launch won't be coming until the middle of this upcoming year?......

I figured since you are the administrator of a website dedicated to TWC that you'd have some inside information the rest of us aren't privy to....

Judging by your earlier response you aren't confident in the information I'm giving you-which, by the way, I stand by regardless of who says what.

Since I now have Direct-HD and a wonderful Sony Bravia 40" W-3000 series TV, I'm ready for them to go to FULL HD A.S.A.P.!!!!!  Thanks for the info...I do appreciate it! :)
