WUWA is such a silly show. I've talked to the TV before when Stephanie Abrams is talking about other things besides weather and I said, "Just report the weather, for crying out loud!" She often gets off the subject of weather during WUWA.

But The Weather Channel was founded to be a cable network entirely devoted to weather 24/7 with periodic documentaries about certain weather topics, hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, etc.

The difference is TWC isn't independently owned anymore,if they still were that might still be true today, but TWC/NBC/Comcast as a whole don't care about that except only when it financially suits them like it did with Isaac for example.
That's ashamed and sad. :(

I hope you realize that TWC is a profit company and that in order for them to make money they have to experiment with stuff such as getting Al Roker on the channel and using vocal music during the forecasts to see if they gain viewers.. so far that seems to be working or else they would have reverted back to their older ways. .

Also, I hope everyone here realizes that we (as the TWC fan community) accomodate for >1% of TWC's audience as a whole.. I'm not stopping you from voicing your opinions but based on how I'm perceiving some of the complaints here, it's making me think that you guys think that we are a majority of TWC's viewership, when in reality, we aren't.

TWC was never independently owned. It was previously owned by Landmark Communications in Norfolk. Landmark owns many tv stations, radio stations and newspapers.

They knocked down a wall. The left portion of the studio is the old WUWA studio, the touch screen monitor is now mounted to the wall. Towards the center of the new studio is a huge ass TV mounted to the wall. The WUWA studio now has a chromakey wall on the right side - and get this.... It has PERFECT LIGHTING! Unheard of on TWC these days, lol

I will be tossing my WUWA recording from Tuesday 10/9 Monday afternoon. Does anyone want anything from it? I cannot do video, I can get images, but you'd have to say what specifically you wanted. If no response, I'll assume all is kosher.

Here is a shot of the big monitor on the wall of the "expanded" part of the studio.

I don't know where to put this so I'll start here....   I didn't watch TWC a lot this morning but I just saw YWT End/1:00 LO8/WUWA Start with no commercials. Is that new?  Is it because of the mess in the NE? Part of the new schedule?  I don't know when the last YWT segment came on, TWC was on as I was walking by and thought it was odd that YWT was still on at 8:57AM CST.

I believe it's part of the new schedule coming Monday.

It was like this during 9AM ET YWT and probably during WUWA:

:00-:08 - Live
:08-:10 - Locals on the 8s
:10-:14 - Commercials
:14-:18 - Live
:18-:20 - Local on the 8s
:20-:24 - Commercials
:24-:28 - Live
:28 -30 - Local on the 8s.

New Opening - The previous one was MUCH better imo. They should have left it alone.

EDIT: There was no teaser before the opening either. In addition a new lower thirds debuted as well.

Look's like they fired the wrong graphic artists.  :footinmouth:

It's sad that there previous graphics lasted only 6 months and it looks better than the newer one.
