I guess new graphics always means lots of new advertising? :P
I wouldnt quite say that because YWT doesnt have their own LOT8s intro do they?

Are you talking about during the show when there's an OCM voiceover talking about what's coming up next before the LF starts? If so, I think that's more of a bumper/teaser.

No.. what I meant was that they have LOT8s intros for WUWA outside of the show, but not for YWT...

They need to fix the 2 second audio and video delay on the HDTV in the studio.
Any time someone on the monitor talking it's 2 seconds behind.

You can't fix that. That's the time it takes for the signal to travel, it's not quite instant.

I explained elsewhere that there is an inherent delay in digital broadcasting as opposed to analogue.  Analogue broadcasting is essentially "what you see is what you get" and is as instantaneous as the time necessary for the signal to travel from the transmitter to the receiver (or through a cable).  Digital broadcasting, however, must be encoded before being transmitted, and the receiver must then decode it before it can be showed.  This encoding and decoding takes time, hence the delay.

European digital television has many advantages over American television.  However, American digital television does have one advantage: it decodes and displays a signal twice as quickly as in the European system.

I understand what you are saying but this is the only Weather Channel show that has this problem.
MSNBC broadcasts from the same building as Wake Up With Al, they show guests on an LCD monitor in studio and there is no audio and video delay.

The feeds are probably more local (IE, at the NBC headquarters.) When the video on the monitors are seen, it's coming from Atlanta most likely. Traveling that distance, why wouldn't it have a delay like that? There's a 5 second delay from TWC to your TV anyway (Well, that's required by regulations for content censoring).

You know, European audiences saw what happened to Janet Jackson and said, "So what?"  Casual non-sexual partial nudity isn't uncommon on European television.  But, apparently, cleavage is perfectly welcome on American TV, but a mostly-obscured-by-jewelry nipple isn't.  Go figure.

Just saw a commercial on TWC that says that "The Weather Channel Mornings is on 6-9am". They are completely ignoring the 9AM hour of YWT and the 10AM Repeat of WUWA.
