Title: Varation of the Old Weather Center Intro (6/2/08-3/1/09)?

Today, while going through my 2008 recordings, I found a Weather Center intro video, but I noticed that it had a softer intro, just like how PM Edition sometimes is. Was it just like this on the HD feed? :unsure: I never noticed it myself. :no:

I'm attaching a recording of it. It's from 8/16/08 @ 3:30 PM ET. And sorry about the beginning of it, my receiver used to pixelate a lot when we first got HD. >_<

And to compare, here was the normal intro sound:

All the show openers have an "acoustic" like opener. I haven't actually heard Weather Center 2008's... It's nice sounding, for like a sad time or something...

Ahh yes, I forgot that I've heard one for DP and WN. Did FO ever stop using the rock-sounding piece until they began the use of production music with intros (the one that premiered on the HD relaunch)?  :unsure:

Also, I haven't heard one for YWT, nor WO/WV.

Finally, does anyone here have a clip of the sad-sounding YWT intro music? I actually like that one. :yes:

I heard the acoustic one for Weekend Outlook once in late 2008.

From July 2008 until early last year, First Outlook would use the original intro music Monday-Tuesday and sometimes Wednesday, and the bumper music Wednesday-Friday.

The acoustic WC opener was only used for a few weeks directly after the show went HD in August 2008; by mid-September, that opener was pretty much phased out.
