They have too many shows that are not live weather reporting and updates. At least during Atmospheres which debuted 10 years ago this month, they had periodic weather updates. They have none of that now. Sometimes, they do during severe weather outbreaks, but not even always during those times.
Too much money. TWC is probably already in a ton of debt from just doing severe weather coverage, not to mention getting rid of Flick and a Forecast that they expected to be a huge hit.

Of course, a person like me who
wants live weather on The Weather Channel is happy about this, but I thought ratings were high for something like this by the average viewer. It serves TWC right that showing movies on a WEATHER channel is stupid.
I never thought about showing long-form and stuff being a money-making thing. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Mike.
