NBC/Comcast perfected the art of killing what used to be a good TV channel with the G4 buyout of Tech TV and now letting G4 go down the tubes. The Esquire channel was planned to replace G4, but at the last minute replaced Style instead. I like a very few of the long-form shows on TWC (I drove a wrecker years ago, so I enjoy that show) like When Weather Changed History, It Could Happen Tomorrow, the various Coast Guard shows and Tornado Alley. But most of the stuff they are showing is garbage, like Prospectors, Reef Wranglers and this latest bunch of shows. NBC trashed Mecum Collector Car Auctions which they took over from Velocity channel tis year, splitting coverage up across their sports channel, Esquire and CNBC. It scares the he'll out of what NBC is going to do when they start broadcasting NASCAR next year (if you are not aware, this is ESPN's last year covering the 2nd half of the NASCAR season). Possibly the worst thing about TWC and the reality shows is that the run the same episodes a zillion times a week.
