I am not happy about TWC giving a date on this one, but anyway, here is a thread to discuss this.
-
Kind of early to advertise it, IMO. Still two weeks away. They didn't advertise Hurricane Week or WILS week until days before it started.
-
Oh boy.... another one of these weeks
-
Yeah I'm wonder exactly what they plan for this week. :dunno:  Should be interesting to see!!
-
It is very early, and I do not appreciate them advertising this since that is the last nite of my summer lol. I will be in St Ignace at that time though.
-
oy...... :whistling:

Your point would be... ?
-
I must say...I am most certainly looking forward to this week, even though they kinda announced it a week earlier than when they supposed to.
-
Do they honestly need all of these "weeks"? the duplicates of tornado week and hurricane week kinda bothered me, I don't think they shouldn't have done a tornado week in Feb when they were gonna do Vortex 2 3 months later and having 2 Hurricane weeks in less than a month's time was even more unnessecary. One of those two tornado and hurricane weeks could have been something else or spent on reporting weather like a weather netowrk is supposed to....
-
I agree...it is too much...
-
Same here, I agree
But then again, consider who is in charge of the network
-
Theme weeks like this are perfectly fine - they drive viewership. And it's not like TWC is the only network to do theme weeks. Ever heard of Shark Week on Discovery?
But, at least they didn't really go into the previously scheduled "Back to School Week."

I agreed. I'm getting ready of these weeks thing already.

Well, you make a valid point there Tyler, but 2 Hurricane Weeks in less than a month is a bit much. If they are going for thiis theme, they should be able to come up with more ideas than this.

I saw a promo of Survival Week for Sept. 6 and they're gonna show the vortex2 tornado special. Yeah, the one we all may have seen a billion times this year. :bleh:
-
Money is money so all the progress that is needed is viewers and that ad cashflow thats all TWC and NBC are looking for just like any other week,
It won't surprise me in November/December they decide to promote a Hurricane Season: A season in review, January Revival of Storm Stories and WWCH, and maybe some more longform down our throats starting in October.
-
There have been quite a few of these weeks lately, but it does help viewership. I just hope TWC doesn't get so caught up in these theme weeks when the weather turns active.
