Crystal Egger posted a photo of the old 3D green screen area on March 25th when it was new.

It looks like they took the corner of a studio and painted it green.
That would explain why the keying does not look that good from it.
I'm not sure exactly were it is though its still in use.
I wonder if it will eventually only be used as a backup green screen?

That definitely wasn't in the HD studio.

I remember the other temporary green screen (the one that was in the now defunct WUWA set) was in the HD studio. I do not recall seeing this corner screen in the studio, but I could be wrong.

Um? No it was not. The one used for 3D sets previously was 2 walls and a floor. The one in the HD studio was just one wall. The pic below is of the HD studio. You don't see anything with a greenscreen on the floor, which is what you have to have to make it look like someone is walking on it. They were doing that before they even got the new one in the studio.

Saw a construction worker creeping behind Vivian today during Day Planner. I don't think he knew they were live on TV. :P

I'm pretty certain that there is WAY more in that HD Studio than what is pictured. But I'm not one to argue, so I'm ending it.

Thats the entire thing. They have several studios. This is the HD studio and the old 3D set wasn't in there. Not trying to argue with you, just saying thats whats what.

Eh, No. I believe that Was TWC's first floor/Basement layout before they built the HD studio.

Trevor, based on the panorama that Donovan linked to, the 3D chroma-key wall that was first seen is nowhere in the HD studio, so for now, it's current location is unknown. However, there are several spots in the former SD studio that are still used.

Based on the end of the special Cantore WCL 7 PM 'cast from last week, I got a broader idea of where the Satellite Center was, and it seems to be located somewhere to the left or right of the GFC, which is in the former SD studio. However, the Satellite Center had to have been built sometime after the HD studio went into full use on all shows in 2008, or maybe when Studio 1B (the studio that was in front of the GFC directly) had broadcasts terminated from it and moved to Studio 1A.

That is the old SD studio, circa sometime in 2007.

From watching First Outlook today, it looks to me like they may have removed a section of the set immediately to the right of the FO desk. Are they slowly but surely revamping the design of the entire studio?

EDIT: After seeing a wider shot, it's actually a giant black rectangular box that stretches from floor to ceiling in front of the wall. The wall is still there. What could the giant black box be for?

For 11am-2pm ET today they are using the Digital Media Center instead of the HD studio and using the old green screen they call the 3D Studio.
During a graphics transition Heather went from standing with Maria in the Digital Media Center to doing the Weekly Planner from the old 3D Studio green screen so I'm guessing those areas are close together.
