According to Zap2it Storm Stories will indeed be returning at 8PM eastern February 22nd and yes, they will indeed be new episodes. Also on that day both airings of Forecast Earth are being replaced by PM Edition Weekend so the show will now run for 3 hours from 5-8PM eastern.
How do you see the schedule that far out? I can only see exactly 2 weeks in advance on their site.

Yay!!! So EE will run now from 9 to 12?
I doubt it... we still have WWCH at 9, I don't know if that's going away yet..

Wow, that I think is the most long-form programming they've aired on a weeknight since when they showed programming on Friday nights at 8PM/9PM/11PM/1AM/3AM in 2006-2007.

OVERLOAD!

At least it will go away. TWC should think about starting a TWC2...NBCU has the capacity and capability to do that.

Storm Stories was just advertised on CNBC.  First Weather Channel thing I've seen there.

Yeah, besides, NBC already layed off so many jobs over at TWC due to the down ecomony. Prior to this resession, NBC already shut down their radio network (a.k.a. the NBC Red Network) back in 2003.

This was even before when they bought out Universal and of course TWC. ABC and CBS meanwhile still have their radio networks alive today, even Fox! I hope TWC doesn't shut down their radio network. Besides, why would NBCU want a second Weather Channel? I think it would be a waste of money.

Speaking of which, will anyone be watching Storm Stories this month?

What about a second NBC weather channel? They shut down Weather Plus after buying TWC.

But they could of at least kept NBC Weather Plus alive and move all of the live TWC shows (like WeatherCenter) to NBC Weather Plus and all of the documentries on TWC. That way, TWC would only show weather-related documentries and no lfs.

NBC Weather Plus had much less exposure than TWC. Keeping it around at all didn't make sense business-wise.

Thank GOD.
More PM Edition, less...whatever.
Yeah, I never cared for Forecast Earth either. Nice to see Storm Stories back. I remember when I used to be afraid of tornadoes, and thus, afraid of watching the show. Good times... Good Times
