I noticed that last Thursday during a bad thunderstorm, Storm Stories was aired during an episode of General Hospital my grandma was watching, and just 30 minutes ago, I saw the Storm Stories credits w/ TWC logo. Has anyone else seen Storm Stories air outside of TWC before?
-
It's not syndicated on ABC - it's available for syndication on any affiliation. This was announced months ago. It's coming to Pittsburgh on WPXI this fall.
Some more info: http://www.tvweek.com/news/2008/07/litton_gives_stations_storm_st.php

Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me Tyler, I saw my ABC affiliate station listed in the middle of the article.
-
We're soon to be getting Storm Stories, WWCH, and ICHT in Canada later next year. :P

Thank god you're joking. I can't imagine Canada having those shows since they have TWN which has far superior programming than TWC.
-
Storm Stories will be seen here on KYW!
-
It'll be seen here in Baltimore on WJZ. Very interesting!
-
What about here in Chicago?

For starters, TWN's programming sucks. Mainly because there is no programming, its just on air talent. But this is the tentative programming block, which at this point only has ICHT (which isnt produced by TWC, but a contracted production company):

well i think so! They don't overhype global warming like TWC !

Very interesting indeed. We get WJZ here. Any word on when it will be shown. I checked their program schedule but didn't find it.
-
You should know September 29, its premiere date.
I'm surprised they haven't put up a channel listing yet. In syndicated game-show land, both newcomers have their listings out already, and most years they are up by the month before.
(except last year, when we scrambled to find them on grids.)

I haven't heard a peep about it. I watch WJZ daily, and haven't seen a single commercial or anything else.
-
I haven't check it on any of my local stations yet. I'm just upset that my local Fox affiliate, WYZZ-TV (Bloomington, IL) picked up Deal Or No Deal! I love Deal Or No Deal, but hate WYZZ-TV! Good syndacated shows belongs to good stations and the only station that I like in my market is WEEK-TV. The only problem here is that they are stuck with those crappy shows like Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray, and Oprah. :furious:

WXmancanada, When The Enviroment Canada Channel was still running, did you like it better than the weather channel. Kinda off topic.

If SS was syndicated anywhere other than TWC, it probabally would be on NBC.

Because of NBCU now owning TWC?

I think that's what he;s saying. ;)
But no, NBC is not syndicating SS. CBS is.
-
Seems pretty stupid, that TWC wouldn't keep something proprietary like that.
-
That's what I thought.
-
Syndication is separate from the networks, which often why you see NBC shows turning up on ABC affiliates, CBS shows on FOX affiliates, etc.
-
Storm Stories: Syndicated is on my NBC affiliate Sunday mornings, 6AM.
If I'd known that, I would have watched this morning.
-
Comes on my CBS affiliate Saturday's at 5:30AM. That's one hell of a time to show it.

Yeah, cause they know no one will watch it.

Maybe because they hold the same belief as we do...it's a flaming pile of :censored:?

Apparently so!
-
Apparently it's airing for one hour from 11AM - Noon Sundays on WGN Chicago. You can tell they really like the program...

Oh cool.....even though I don't watch it.
-
Here it's on KYW-3 (CBS) Saturdays at 5:30 AM and encores on Sundays at 3:30 PM. I am one of the few here who like the show so I'm glad I can catch it at a reasonable time.
-
I wouldn't wake up at 5:30 in the morning to watch Storm Stories. I only would IF I was awake at 5:30,which it is very close to 6:00 which is when I have to wake up to go to school. Or maybe I'd go back to sleep because I got too bored.
-
In my area, it comes on every Sundays at 5:00 AM CDT on WMBD-TV (CBS affiliate). I was hoping my favorite TV station, WEEK-TV (NBC affiliate) would get it (hence NBC Weather Plus). But no, instead, it ended up on one of my market's worst stations (that also has a low-rated, libral-biased newscast). No offence of course. It just that I hate CBS! :furious: At least WMBD-TV isn't a CBS O&O station. It just that I perfer NBC, and CW affiliates as well as inpendent stations.
I also wish they would move all of my other favorite syndicated shows to my favorite TV station too. My brodcasting market sucks around here including my radio market.
-
Apparently it comes on Saturdays in my area -- my listings show:
"Utah Avalanche" 10/4 5:30 am 233 KYWDT/3 KYW
"Utah Avalanche" 10/4 3:30 pm 233 KYWDT/3 KYW
"The Blizzard of 1996" 10/11 5:30am 233 KYWDT/3 KYW
"The Blizzard of 1996" 10/11 2:30pm 233 KYWDT/3 KYW
just an fyi -- KYW is Philadelphia's CBS station (CBS3 -- The Home of Eyewitness News)
-
Not on my CBS (CBS 5 News) or my ABC (ABC15)
-
Storm Stories: Syndicated is on my NBC affiliate Sunday mornings, 6AM.
I am taping SS tomorrow morning, to see if there really is "local wx inserts".
-
There's no mention of The Weather Channel anywhere in there, no logo at the end, nothing.
-
Do they show the bumper graphics and credits?
-
They show credits, yeah, but they don't show "Copyright [year here] The Weather Channel" though
-
Starts this weekend on WPXI - Sundays at 1:30pm.
-
Just discovered that Storm Stories is being syndicated on WGAL 8. I was flipping through the channels, and saw it! :o
-
Not sure if ya'll know this, but I was visiting in Florida, and I saw it comes on Saturday nights at 7 ET on WTSP-TV.
-
I just noticed that my CBS station is syndicating Storm Stories.
-
In Fort Myers, it comes on at 4:30am on WFTX FOX4.
-
I have seen Storm Stories on at CBS (Kcal 9), I saw the "Blown from her arms" episode (the one when a 10 month old baby was blown from her mothers arms during a tornado)
And when I traveled to Mexico, I watched the same exact episode on the National Geographic channel. It was in spanish, though, the man who dubbed the episode said "Cantore" wrong xP
