When is Forecast Earth recorded?

Does anyone know when Forecast Earth each week is recorded? Because at the beginning of this weekend's show, they showed that surveillance video of the cars flying around in a tornado, which happened on Thursday, IIRC. If I had to guess, I would say the show was probably recorded on Friday.

Wow, Billy; I was just thinking the same exact thing while watching that episode. A good way to tell would be to watch for what tie Mike Bettes is wearing in the episode (I think he's in studio for every single one) and what night he was wearing that tie on A&B. During the very first episode, he was wearing his Wednesday tie, so I have a feeling the day that it's recorded has either changed since then, or it's recorded on a different day every week. Either way, it must be pretty annoying to disassemble the A&B studio mid-week just to have to re-assemble the set to finish off the week.

Here's a follow-up question: Where is Forecast Earth recorded? Is it recorded Weekend View/Abrams & Bettes set area?

Yeah, it looks like they strip the studio down to everything but the blue walls with a monitor, table, and chairs. I'm curious why that "cut-out" square to the left (visible on the one-person shot of the person in the left chair) is green when during Weekend View, you can see ceiling lights through it.
