New pictures of the HD studio building posted on weather.com

Look towards the end of the photo set; they've even got pictures of the hallways looking into the main control room and into a "tech center".

BTW, Kyle, what exactly happens in this "tech center"?

Just from looking at it, another / more appropriate word for it is "Central", or even "Central Equipment Room". The room is basically full of (video and audio) routers, patch pannels, the guts of the swticher are problaly in there. Usually, any equipment that is used in the control room (sometimes even studios, like lighting pannels are) is controlled from the control room, but stored in central for noise reasons.

Very nice find, SR  :twothumbs:.

Question, and someone may have mentioned they have, but has anyone actually seen the couch in the HD studio, or seen an interview that has taken place on it?

No, apparently the couch is removable, and apparently they will only put it in the studio during the show if they use it. The Al Roker interview on A&B would've been a perfect chance to use it, so why didn't they? Is there some sort of flaw with the couch setup?

Yes, there are two green screens, and they both can rotate and face either into that side room there or toward the other rooms. From what I can tell, though, they can only be used when they're facing the side room. They're rotated when they want to keep them out of view.
