New Morning Show: "AMHQ with Sam Champion"

Mike Bettes posted a behind the scenes video yesterday on his Facebook and there was not one positive comment below it.  People aren't happy with the new show, at all.  It'll be interesting to see what happens in the future.

That tweet (from DC) makes absolutely no sense.   He's just trying to cover up the fact that someone actually caught TWC in the act of not talking about weather and posting it on social media for everyone to see.

Absolutely true on that one. TWC is turning in a very bad situation...

Updating the studio use,
WCL 4am-5:30am was in 1C.
Alex used the main studio for the 7 Day Forecast during WUWA.
WCL 11am-3pm was in 1C.
WCL 3pm-7pm is in the main studio.

TWC did not need a version of the Today Show. The sports and entertainment segments have to go. More weather.

This morning while watching AMHQ, the logo seen with the onscreen graphics (mainly the description boxes for people, stories, and segments) was blue, rather than orange.

They still did the Sport Segment at 9:40AM ET.

Can someone do me a favor? Can someone post a video of the 7 am hour of the show? And I have DirecTV, so I don't have the Weather Channel  . So, can someone please in depth describe the format for me? Like a timeline with times and anchors would be great!

Looks like the show is continuing to get poor ratings. From Newsblues:

On Friday, Sammy Champion's "AMHQ" on The Weather Channel pulled a 39K in the demo, the show's lowest in its five-week existence.

Al Roker's "Wake Up With Al," at 5:30 a.m., had 70K in the demo...nearly TWICE Champion's audience.

Or, to put it another way, nearly half of Roker's demo audience leaves when Sammy shows up.

I like AMHQ, I like whats going on with the weather channel at the moment, some people just always need something to complain about.

AMHQ is an okay base to work from-it gave the morning lineup a much-needed refresh. I'm in the camp with many viewers (here and in general) who'd like a bit more weather in the morning.
