This may be better in the new thread about graphics, but I'll go ahead and put it here.  TWC's map showing the summer outlook has some impressive graphics!!  Do you think it's a preview of what's to come at all?  They may just have wanted to create a fancy graphic for a high-interest subject, but I think it would look good everywhere.  Really like the 3-D affect.

P.S. This post was created for the graphic-talk, but you can also use it to see how your summer will shape up temp-wise. :P

I really don't see how Florida of all places could be below normal these next couple of months... :noexpression:
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

God, I hope this happens! I would like a cooler summer for once. If we never see a day above 89 I'll be happy.

I don't like how the map is leaning away from you.  I can't see the East Coast well at all.  It would be better if the map was flat and have the 3-D effects around it.

This likely won't be the new forecasts. They've used these for months for climate outlooks and would have implemented them if they were going to use them in active forecasting.

Not really a fan of this format at all. I'd rather see hard work go into:
-professional-quality show openers (unified theme)
- "          "     "      "  segment openers (unified theme)
-weekly planner graphics overhaul (no coverflow, please. And no bleh-looking moving cloud background, please).

Maps are something that I personally think don't need that much "flair"-it just distracts the viewer. It doesn't need to be sparse, a great title bar, key, icons, and cities look great. But all the "junk" around it here just doesn't work for me.

The animated show promos in the LDL area going to break are now being used for commercials.
One just aired promoting a movie.
