That's a slide from WUWA believe it or not so it could or won't be that.

My Comcast guide shows the new morning schedule starting November 5. But it has Morning Rush from 7AM-10AM ET.

The Tribune guide on Zap2It no longer shows the new morning lineup, but it still shows WCL running from 5-8 PM ET.

Hmm...that doesn't seem like as much of a change as I was thinking (except for less long-form in the evenings).  I just thought for sure they would re-name or do something different with Day Planner.  It could really use a fresh look in my opinion.  But I guess not.

Very interesting.  I can't believe Al Roker is going to be on for an hour and a half.  Whatever.

I find it interesting they are getting rid of Your Weather Today.

I like the show title "On the Radar."

Good to see there is going to be a couple more hours of live programming in the evening.

There's probably going to be more changes to that line up, I doubt that's the final schedule. That article made such an emphasis on the daytime lineup being completely revamped like the quote below...

Quote
The details on the dayside lineup are scarce, but Weather acting head of TV Sharon Scott said at the meeting that the network will be moving to a new talk show format during dayside early next year.

I highlighted this because it leads me to believe longform will be temporary in the 2-5pm timeslot.

Right, therefore, "Your Weather Today" will no longer exist..

Interesting timing.  Heather Tesch, along with Marshall Seese, were the hosts of Your Weather Today when it started around 2000.

About the new changes, I shall be watching and waiting. So far I don't see anything that makes me gasp or dismayed, which I suppose should be counted as good news. The scaling back of long-form programming is also good news. Perhaps the trend is now turning ever so slightly in our favor?

As for YWT being cancelled, it's pretty much still there, only under a new name. If A&B still host it, it will certainly be just a new name for the same thing. If they get a different format and different hosts, then it will be something quite different. Whether it will be better or worse is the question.

The "talk show format" bit is quite interesting. Dayside is currently rather bland (vs. Weather Canter and the morning lineup), but "talk show format" could mean many things. IF they do it right, the results will be fascinating to behold and could mean a new and better era for daytime programming (or perhaps a milder version like Weekend View used to be like). If they do it wrong, it will turn into something like "Wake Up Access", only much worse.

Just checked TV Guide.com, and Zap 2 It.com and The new schedule is gone for now.  Is that because of Sandy? However, Longform is still there, in the old time slots. Has anyone heard any thing??????

I could be wrong, but I got the notion that this new line-up wasn't going to start until early next year.  How far in the future are you looking?
