:O
I see that there's gonna be TWO Hurricane Weeks this summer.
And...oh no MORE LONG FORM!!!!
I also heard sometime this year that there's gonna be a new Storm Session for this year's hurricane season. (I think A&B tweeted about this sometime ago). It might occur in one of those two weeks.
-
Pardon for asking.
What are storm sessions?
-
It's a special TWC has been airing annually since last August that features OCMs talking about severe weather, the hurricane season, etc.

Yeah. Stephanie Abrams, Mike Bettes, Jim Cantore, and an TWC expert talk about hurricanes, tornadoes and other severe weather. It's very interesting.
-
I wonder if they'll still be doing storm sessions in the evening since Jim Cantore is now on YWT, or will they work something out?
-
Storm Sessions is a recorded program.

I am SOO sick of hearing the word tornado on TWC. Tornado week and now Vortex2. Bring on Hurricane week!

Agreed.
-
It's tornado season. They won't get into hurricanes until late this month, or possible not until June 1st.

Yea but they have been on over kill this year with tornadoes.
-
Oh now I understand....Since Vortex 2 programming will last until the middle of June. They decided to postpone the Hurricane Week coverage a week after Vortex 2 ends.

Furthermore, the Atlantic basin only averages about one tropical storm every two years during the month of June, so you're not going to miss much by starting Hurricane Week closer to July 1.

Yea June is a slow month usually.

I just looked at the Zap2It guide for Monday, June 22nd, and apparently Storm Stories will be airing at 8pm, 11pm, and 2am ET. I really hope this change isn't going to become permanent after Hurricane Week is over.
-
WC 7-10 PM will be two separate hours now that the 8 PM Storm Stories is scheduled. :noexpression:
