Title: How would you rate the June 2nd HD Launch?
Post by: Localonthe8s on June 18, 2008, 02:20:57 PM: I think the HD Launch was friggin awesome! Love the new LDL, satellite graphics and the new Evening Edition studios. :sunglasses:

Weekend View is slated to be in HD starting July 12th.

It was less than a year since they updated the graphics and it's the perfect time to get new coloured graphics on the intellistar. They also need to update that ancient blue LDL and replace the satellite graphics with modern blue "HD" looking maps and titlebars.

I doubt we'll see much more major changes to the STAR's until TWC is sold.

The only things that I really didn't like is that the Intellistar still looks like a pile of **** thrown together at the last minute. Also, the thing that bugs me for some reason is that when they switch OCMs during a forcecast, they talk for like 30 seconds before they switch to the other one. Whatever happened to "Alright that's a look at your forecast and here's Mike to talk about the severe storms?"

And Nick Walker really isn't a WC guy either. :sleeping:

The Intellistar did not change with the HD launch... ;). The only thing that did was the LDL, which I find cool :biggrin:
