Title: Heidi Cullen out as host of Forecast Earth
Post by: lfmusiclover on January 08, 2008, 02:46:14 PM
Just found out that Heidi Cullen will no longer host Climate Code/Forecast Earth, though she'll still be a contributor. She's being replaced by someone named Natalie Allen. On the bad sidde, though, FE is being lengthened from 30 minutes to one hour per episode.  :(

I guess that means the Nick Walker episodes will no longer air.

I'm not doubting the fact you've got a source, nor have I ever said that you post unreliable news. I just think you should've cited your sources in your original post.

I suggest you quit complaining or get lost. I'm not running a web site to get a bunch of flack over not originally posting my sources. If you don't like it here, go back to TWCC. Obviously you've never had any problems there.

I can understand where Billy's coming from. Anybody can just post whatever they feel like without giving any source. Though, you're not one of them.

Ehh... Okay.  I guess I might check this Natalie lady out.  Anyone is probably better than Cullen.

But, an hour?  Idk about that.

I wish the weather channel would focus a little less on climate and a little more on forecasts like they used to.

The bottom line, I think, is this: climate is the major issue these days, and its what attracts viewers. That is all TWC cares about, is attracting viewers.

Heidi Cullen was ugly, so good riddance. TV is about beauty these days. I don't want a full hour, but what do i care, i don't even watch TWC anymore.

TV is about beauty? You know I don't agree with that!  :P

Well, we won't see the Nick Walker episodes any longer, but those are getting stale. As usual, I may or may not watch the first episode of the new format, but I don't intend to keep watching the program.

I like the Nick Walker versions. He has more experience in weather than Heidi Cullen.

Weren't all of them at least 1-2 years old and repeated ad nauseam?

Some I think might be up to 4-5 years old. I believe Forecast Earth premiered in 2003. I have a screenshot from that year with the FE logo next to the OCM.

No, Allen, as in Natalie Allen, the new host

I saw a new commercial for forecast Earth, and it was well put together if you ask me.

Yeah, surprisingly it seems to fit the glossy, bright style that started with the 2005 relaunch. It seemed like they were moving away from that ever since TWC decided to get really serious with many of their programs.

I know I promised myself that I'd watch at least the first episode, but that was before it clicked in my mind that it was an NFL Playoff weekend. Then I thought, "Once-in-a-lifetime Playoffs, or some show that will be on again for months and years to come?" First Jim Mora, obviously paid off by TWC, popped into my mind and said, "Playoffs?!? Don't talk about Playoffs! Playoffs?!?" Good thing I quickly recognized his trickery and dismissed him, and I made the decision to watch the Playoffs.  :smoke2: :sing: :drunk:

I watched a couple of minutes of it...she interviewed Mike Bettes about the crazy weather in the midwest this week.

She is dull to watch.
