1998-2005,2008-present (despite OCM's being laid off)
Oh yeah, TWC went way uphill after the HD relaunch on June 2, but by September it started going downhill again.
Same here.

September was when their production started going downhill because of all the hurricanes they were covering. It seems whenever they cover a hurricane, they forget about their original production format and their production ends up being really sloppy. Then of course just a few months later we saw the layoffs and the OCM pairings became more random than ever. We just can't ever go through a week with all "normal" pairings anymore. And now, we're saying goodbye to Evening Edition, Weekend Outlook, and the original Weather Center and hello to a Weather Center that will probably be just like EE. We basically don't have a show devoted to hard weather anymore. :(

It looks like 1995-2005 is the consensus pick for TWC's golden years based on the responses so far.

I would say 1996-1999, aka the "Trammell Starks" Era.

Yeah, I really liked it from 2000-2005, but my  favorite year was 2007, without a doubt.

For me, it's 1993 with 1992 in close second.

I though TWC was at it's best from 1995-2003. I also liked the HD relaunch in June, but I'm not too happy with TWC to this day, however.

I think TWC went started going downhill when NBC brought it in November 2008 and become more worst with the changes in March 2, 2009. That's why I don't watch TWC that much anymore since April 2009.

I would say 2000-2003 then 2005-Sept 2008. Then things went down the toilet.  <_<

I agreed, but it's went downhill when NBCU brought it last November.
